Now that the jet lag has faded, I’ve been reflecting on my experiences from the recent Veeva Commercial Summit in Madrid. Kidding aside, it was more than a chance to network with pharma and biotech industry leaders; it was an opportunity to reinforce ACTO’s mission and our vision for the future of Life Sciences in Europe.

As we broaden our global presence, the insights and connections made at the Summit will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategy and influence in this market.

Several themes resonated with me.

Desire for Innovation
Technology stands as the foundation of advancement in this industry, and there was no lack of it at the Summit. Both attendees and partners were eager to explore the latest innovations and to understand what tools others were utilizing. I was delighted to see how passionate people were about ensuring their teams had access to the latest tech and were set up for success.

Emphasis on Personalized Healthcare
A key topic of conversation was the movement towards personalized healthcare. With the power of AI and data analytics, we can customize treatments and strategies to address individual patient needs, leading to better outcomes. ACTO’s solutions are designed to support this shift, offering tools that empower reps to support healthcare professionals in providing more personalized and impactful care.

The Power of Collaboration
“Collaboration, not competition” is something we emphasize at ACTO, and this was a prominent theme throughout the Summit. Interacting with other industry professionals and sharing ideas highlighted the immense potential of partnerships. From industry partnerships between pharma and biotechs, to technology integration and collaboration among service and tech providers, it was inspiring to witness the openness and sharing of insights. ACTO looks forward to collaborating with our new connections in an environment where we can each excel in our areas of expertise to build a powerful ecosystem that addresses challenges and drives meaningful change in the industry.

Regulatory Challenges and Opportunities
Navigating the regulatory landscape remains a significant concern for our industry. The Summit shed light on the complexities of compliance and the need for solutions that simplify processes while ensuring regulatory adherence. From brand teams to medical experts, the consensus was that access to information must be immediate and undeniably accurate, as lives depend on it. This made me particularly proud of ACTO’s dedication to developing technologies that facilitate compliance (such as our integration with Veeva and TalkTRx™ and LAICA RepAssist™), allowing Life Sciences organizations to concentrate on their core missions.

Prioritizing Human Connections
Despite the technology-focused discussions, it was refreshing to see that human connections were prioritized. The Summit attracted a diverse group of attendees, some sharing my cultural background and others from many different cultures, yet all united by a commitment to excellence. It reminded me of ACTO’s own team , and my most valuable takeaway from the Summit was the new friendships we formed. Hearing people’s “whys” and what drives them in this industry was truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your stories.

The Road Ahead
As we move forward, the lessons learned at the Veeva Commercial Summit in Madrid will help to guide our efforts to expand and innovate. The connections made and insights gained will be invaluable as we aim to deliver solutions that not only delight our clients, but contribute to the advancement of the Life Sciences industry as a whole.

We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and are committed to making a positive impact in the European market.
